site.btaPM Glavchev and Delegation Visit Church of Saint Demetrios in Thessaloniki

Bulgaria's caretaker Prime Minister Dimitar Glavchev and his delegation visited the Church of Saint Demetrios in Thessaloniki, Glavchev said in a Facebook post.

The Bulgarian delegation met with Metropolitan Philotheos of Thessaloniki and with the Bulgarian Bishop Polycarp of Belogradchik.

The Church of Saint Demetrios was built in the middle of the 5th century and is believed to be one of the most beautiful in the city. The holy relics of St Demetrios the Myrrh-Streamer are kept in the church.

On May 10 and 11, Glavchev and his delegation visited Mt Athos and took part in the feast of the Zographou monastery.
