site.btaCOVID-19 Cases in Bulgaria Reach 422, Death Toll Rises to 10

April 1 (BTA) - The confirmed cases of COVID-19 in Bulgaria have reached 422, and the number of fatalities has increased to ten, according to data reported by the national coronavirus task force here on Wednesday.

Of the infected persons on record, 241 are men and 181 women.

Twenty patients have recovered fully, including three over the past 24 hours.

A total of 207 COVID-19 patients are hospitalized and under medical observation. Of these, 18 are in intensive care (in Sofia and Plovdiv).

The new positive tests confirmed by laboratories total 10: eight in Sofia and two in Blagoevgrad.

Rousse Region (North Central Bulgaria) had its first COVID-19 case on Tuesday: a man who worked at a ski resort in Austria, the national task force chief, Prof. Ventsislav Moutafchiiski, told a regular news briefing on Wednesday morning.

After one MP, Hassan Ademov, tested positive for the disease, all members of Parliament will be checked for coronavirus on Wednesday. Prof. Moutafchiiski said that if they all test negative, the legislature will continue working. NV, RI/LN, LG
