site.btaBFU, UEFA Initiate Joint Campaign against Cyber Bullying

The Bulgarian Football Union (BFU) and UEFA are uniting their efforts against cyber bullying. In recent years, the fight against hate speech used in virtual space has been among the main social priorities of the European football union. Now the BFU is joining these efforts with its own campaign entitled “More than a game: football is a responsibility”.

It was joined by the captain of the national team and Bulgaria's number one footballer for 2023, Kiril Despodov, the country's best female footballer for the past year Evdokiya Popadinova, two of the most promising players among the youths - Chung Nguyen Do and Steven Gerard Gaote, as well as one of Bulgaria’s leading referees - Pavleta Rashkova.

The initiative promotes equality and inclusivity on the football pitch.
