Sofia, April 12 (BTA) - The number of confirmed COVID-19 cases in Bulgaria rose to 675 after six new cases were reported on Sunday - four in Sofia Region and two in Stara Zagora Region, the Health Ministry said in a press release Sunday afternoon, quoting the latest data from the national coronavirus task force.

A 58-year-old male with a COVID-19 infection and a number of pre-existing conditions has passed away in the southeastern city of Haskovo while hospitalized on Sunday morning, bringing the total number of COVID-19 deaths in this country to 29, the Health Ministry said.

A total of 230 patients with COVID-19 are hospitalized as of Sunday, 36 of whom are in intensive care units.

Of all 675 diagnosed with COVID-19, 377 are males and 298 are females./MY
