site.btaCluster Presents Analysis on Electric Mobility in Bulgaria in March 2024
2024 is expected to be a year of progress for the development of charging infrastructure for electric vehicles, according to a brief analysis by the Electric Vehicle Industrial Cluster (EVIC), published on Monday.
In 2023, the dynamics of electric mobility development in Europe and worldwide increased. Bulgaria had a head start in the region, but has slowed considerably in the last two years. The state is late in taking an active role in developing electric mobility and, although it is trying, it is doing so in the old familiar way.
Bulgaria is the only country in the European Union that does not have a support system for businesses and consumers. There is no national strategy, no work plan, says the analysis.
By the end of March 2024, a draft Electric Mobility Promotion Act is expected to be submitted for public consultation. However, it is noteworthy that the draft has been developed entirely within one ministry, the analysis says.
