site.btaDutch National Detained after Allegedly Threatening Woman with Knife

A Dutch national has been detained at the request of the Sofia Regional Prosecution Service after he threatened a woman with a knife here on March 13, 2024, the Prosecution Service reported on Monday. The suspect was allegedly holding a kitchen knife, when he made threats at the woman, in an apartment in Sofia's Mladost 2 borough.

Pre-trial proceedings were opened in the case. The suspect has been detained for up to 72 hours. The measure is subject to appeal before the Sofia City Court.
