site.btaPresident to Confer Order of Madara Horseman, First Class on Ambassador of Spain

President Rumen Radev will award the Ambassador of the Kingdom of Spain to Bulgaria Alejandro Polanco Mata, with the Order of Madara Horseman, First Class, said the press office of the presidential institution.

The state honour is awarded for the diplomat's particularly great merits for the strengthening and development of bilateral relations between the Republic of Bulgaria and the Kingdom of Spain.

The solemn ceremony will take place at the Presidency at 4 pm.

At a meeting with the outgoing Prime Minister Nikolay Denkov on August 24 last year, Ambassador Mata stated that Spain firmly supports Bulgaria's accession to Schengen.
