site.btaFM Gabriel Meets UN Secretary-General's Special Envoy for Road Safety Todt in Davos

Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Affairs Minister Mariya Gabriel met with the UN Secretary-General's Special Envoy for Road Safety Jean Todt at the World Economic Forum in Davos, the Bulgarian Foreign Ministry reported Thursday.

"Jean Todt is a professional with experience and now with a very important mission - road safety. I am delighted to have shared with him the efforts of the Government and our teamwork with the Minister of Interior Kalin Stoyanov and the Minister of Transport, Georgi Gvozdeikov. I believe that with a joint effort approach, multilateral measures and targeted actions we can reduce road accidents, strengthen prevention, information campaigns and encourage more drivers, including the youngest ones, to be more responsible," the Deputy Prime Minister said. 

At Gabriel's, Jean Todt will visit Bulgaria to share good practices at international level, the Foreign Ministry said.
