site.btaMRF to Support GERB’s, CC-DB’s Constitutional Court Judge Nominations

The Movement for Rights and Freedoms (MRF) will support GERB’s and Continue the Change-Democratic Bulgaria’s (CC-DB) nominations for Constitutional Court judges, said here on Thursday in Parliament MRF Floor Leader Delyan Peevski. 

Earlier in the day, GERB leader Boyko Borissov said that Dessislava Atanassova will be his party’s Constitutional Court judge nomination. CC-DB’s press centre said on Wednesday that their nomination will be Borislav Belazelkov. 

This Government can serve out its full term, Peevski told journalists. “Let the rotation pass, because that is a very important moment, and then we will see,” he said, adding that still only one deputy prime minister is being considered for the new cabinet. Peevski was referring to the upcoming rotation in the Government between Prime Minister Nikolay Denkov and his Deputy Mariya Gabriel, which is scheduled to take place in March and the two will swap offices. 

He asked journalists not to discuss the possibility if MRF will be part of the government. “We do not want to participate in the government at the level of ministers or deputy ministers,” Peevski said.
