In November 2023, retail turnover increased by 0.5%, month-on-month, and by 3.2%, year-on-year, according to preliminary and seasonally adjusted statistics released by the National Statistical Institute on Monday.

On an annual basis, an increase in retail trade in November was registered in food, beverages and tobacco (9%), and computers, smartphones and other non-food goods (4%). There was a decrease in retail trade in motor fuels and lubricants (3%), while the number of online sales continued to grow.

Month-on-month, the highest retail trade increase in November was registered in clothing and shoes (6.2%). Turnover decreased in retail trade with motor fuels (by 3.5%), and retail trade with computers, smartphones and other non-food goods (1.1%).
