A parliamentary delegation led by National Assembly Chair Rosen Zhelyazkov arrived on a working visit to India on Thursday. At Indira Gandhi International Airport, the delegation were welcomed with traditional mala garlands and Indian dances. Representatives of the Indian side and Bulgarian Ambassador Nikolay Yankov welcomed Zhelyazkov.
The one-day visit to India envisages a meeting with the Vice President and Speaker of the Upper House of the Indian Parliament, Jagdeep Dhankar, as well as with the Speaker of the Lower House, Om Birla. The programme of the visit also includes laying flowers at the Mahatma Gandhi monument.
