A parliamentary delegation, led by National Assembly Chair Rosen Zhelyazkov, is leaving Thursday for a visit to India and Vietnam, Parliament’s press office reported.

The one-day visit to India envisages a meeting of Rosen Zhelyazkov with the Vice President and Speaker of the Upper House of the Indian Parliament Jagdeep Dhankar, as well as with the Speaker of the Lower House, Om Birla.

The programme of the visit includes laying flowers at the Mahatma Gandhi monument.

After India, the Bulgarian parliamentary delegation will pay an official visit to the Socialist Republic of Vietnam.

The programme includes a meeting at the National Assembly of Vietnam with the Speaker of the Parliament, Vuong Dinh Hue, as well as plenary talks between the delegations.

In September last year, a Vietnamese parliamentary delegation, headed by National Assembly Speaker Vuong Dinh Hue, visited Bulgaria at Zhelyazkov’s invitation.
