site.bta18 Children of Deceased by Covid-19 Medics Receive Financial Support Ahead of Christmas Holidays

Eighteen children of medics who lost their lives to COVID-19 have received financial support ahead of the Christmas holidays, the Bulgarian Medical Association (BMA) said on Friday. For a consecutive year, on the eve of the holiest of holidays, the BMA, with the help of donors, supported the children of the deceased medics. 

The support is for all children who were under 18 at the time of the loss of their parent. There are four more in 2023, making a total of 18.

In the name of transparency, all funds raised from the initiative were distributed by a BMA committee to the children of the deceased Bulgarian doctors. 

BGN 3,495 have been transferred to each child this year.
