Parliament Thursday adopted conclusively amendments to the Defence and Armed Forces Act, according to which the Defence Minister shall determine the duration of training needed to acquire a fourth degree of qualification in the professional field of Military Science and Defence.
The curricula of the specialties in the professional field of Military Science in military academies and higher military schools shall be approved by the Defence Minister in coordination with the Education and Science Minister. The state education standards, national examination programmes and professional colleges’ training curricula for the acquisition of the fourth degree of qualification in the professional field of Military Science and Defence shall also be approved by the Defence Minister in coordination with the Minister of Education and Science.
Full-time students trained at the higher military schools to acquire the educational qualification degree of Bachelor in the professional field of Military Science for the needs of the Defence Ministry and other departments are referred to as cadets.
If servicepersons culpably fail to complete their training successfully, they shall refund the maintenance and training costs for the period of their training.
