Bulgaria ranked third to last in the EU in terms of purchasing cloud computing services, according to the latest Eurostat data released on Friday. In 2023, 45.2% of EU companies have bought cloud computing services (services used over the Internet to access software, computing power, storage capacity) - a growth of 4.2% points compared to 2021. In Bulgaria, only 17.5% of companies purchased cloud computing services.
Greece is at the bottom with 23.6%, followed by Romania with 18.4%.
The highest shares of companies that purchased various cloud services were recorded in Finland (78.3%), Sweden (71.6%), Denmark (69.5%) and Malta (66.7%).
