A motorised infantry company from the Land Forces, part the NATO Enhanced Response Force (eNRF) and the European Union’s Rapid Reaction Force (ERRF), was awarded the "Combat Ready" rating, the Ministry of Defence said Thursday. 

Over 140 troops participated in the certification of a motorised infantry company with eNRF and ERRF. It was conducted November 28 - 30 and included the execution of a document verification procedure in the area of the 10th Mechanised Battalion - Vratsa and a company-specific tactical exercise for the assessment of combat capabilities conducted in the area of the Slivnitsa training centre. The over 140 servicemen with 21 pieces of combat equipment participating were from the 10th Mechanised Battalion - Vratsa and a mechanised platoon from the 3rd Mechanised Battalion - Blagoevgrad of the 3rd Brigade Command. After the successful completion of the company tactical-special exercise, the motorised infantry company received a "Combat Ready" rating.

Colonel Svetoslav Godinov, head of the Formation Certification Sector at the Land Forces Command, was the chairman of the certification committee.
