European Chief Prosecutor Laura Kovesi will receive an award for European justice at the National Justice Awards ceremony in Sofia on Friday, the Balkan Media Association said on Thursday. Kovesi said she is truly honoured to receive an award from the respected National Justice Awards and considers it a recognition of the work she and her colleagues at the European Public Prosecutor's Office have been doing.
Kovesi receiving this award is a real success not only for the event but also for the entire Bulgarian justice system. Her confirmation came after two months of negotiations, dozens of letters and a report on the last ten years of the National Justice Awards.
