Conditions are bad for hiking in the mountains, the weather is cloudy and windy, BTA learned from the Mountain Rescue Service. 

The snow cover is 30-40 cm, and more snowfall is expected. There is a danger of avalanches. Hikers should only follow the marked trails and stay on them, the Mountain Rescue Service advised. 

There have been no incidents with hikers over the past 24 hours.

Heavy cloud over the mountains on Wednesday, the National Institute of Meteorology and Hydrology reported. Moderate to strong northwesterly wind. Highs: around 3C at 1,200 m, minus 3C at 2,000 m.
