site.btaGovernment Approves International Treaty on Acquisition of Stryker Combat Vehicles

The Council of Ministers approved the BU-B-UCP international treaty on the acquisition of Stryker combat vehicles under the US Foreign Military Sales Program. The decision proposes that the National Assembly ratifies this treaty.

The treaty was drafted in connection with the implementation of the investment expenditure project for the acquisition of 198 combat and service vehicles needed for the formation of mechanized-battalion-size battlegroups, adopted by the 49th National Assembly.  

The implementation of the treaty will allow to quickly address part of the capabilities deficit in the Land Forces of the Bulgarian Army.
