- International day devoted to the fight against racism, xenophobia and anti-Semitism;

- National Day of Cambodia, Independence Day (1953).

On this date in Bulgarian history: 

1901: The Bulgarian Historical Society is founded in Sofia. 

1961: The first nuclear reactor for research purposes goes into operation near Sofia. 

1999: The Council of Ministers adopts a national strategy for safe management of spent nuclear fuel and radioactive waste from the Kozloduy N-plant. 

2000: Carl XVI Gustaf of Sweden and his wife Silvia arrive on a three-day visit to Bulgaria. 

2001: The National Assembly adopts the Independent Financial Audit Act. 

2006: The National Assembly adopts the Income Taxes on Natural Persons Act.
