Bulgarian Ambassador to North Macedonia Angel Angelov has presented a letter of gratitude from Foreign Minister Mariya Gabriel to the Sveti Naum Ohridski University Clinic for Surgical Diseases, the diplomatic mission told BTA on Friday. In her letter, Gabriel thanks the medical team for the assistance provided to Bulgarian Dragomir Andonov, who was stabbed after a football match in Skopje back in July.
The Bulgarian Ambassador also presented the medical treatment facility with an icon of Christ Pantocrator, a copy of an icon from the Rila Monastery.
Dragomir Andonov, 29, was stabbed in the abdomen when he and three other Bulgarian football fans were assaulted on July 27, minutes before the kick-off of a UEFA Europa Conference League match between PFC Levski Sofia and the local FC Shkupi.
