On Thursday Education and Science Minister Prof. Galin Tsokov attended a meeting with school psychologists and pedagogical advisors at the Ministry of Education and Science. Tsokov was adamant that every Bulgarian child should have access to a psychologist who specializes in the field of education. The activity of these specialists is crucial for three key policies - overcoming aggression, road safety and the fight against drugs, he added, quoted by the Ministry's press center.

Minister Tsokov said that such specialists are partners of the Ministry in providing general and additional support at school, as well as in developing the personal potential of each child and student.

The meeting focused on proposals for administrative changes to optimize the activities of psychologists in the field and improve their professional satisfaction. The changes are related to determining the rights and obligations of pedagogical advisors and school psychologists, instructions for their work, working hours, documentation relevant to their position, etc.
