site.btaSports Minister Approves BGN 1.1 Mln for 2024 Sports Development for All Programme

Minister of Sports Dimitar Iliev approved the 2024 Sports Development for All Programme. The planned budget for its implementation has been increased to BGN 1,100,000 compared to BGN 990,000 for 2023.

The programme's main objective is to create conditions for a positive change in the Bulgarians' insufficient physical activity and unhealthy lifestyle by encouraging citizens to engage in exercising and sports.

Direct beneficiaries of the programme are sports organizations, licensed multi-sport federations and national sports organizations.

The programme will support the organization and holding of athletic and sports-tourism events and competitions on the State Sporting Event Calendar, training and participation in events on the World Sporting Event Calendar.
