The Sofia Game Night festival will take place in more than 50 locations this year, with the major event on November 4 and side events on other dates, Heliana Velinova, organizer of the initiative, told BTA.
"The main event of Sofia Game Night is an exhibition of game developers from Bulgaria. These are mainly independent studios that we want to support to reach their audience. There will also be a conference to help them develop in the direction of entrepreneurship and artificial intelligence," Velinova said.
Virtual reality, Lego activities, urban adventures, role-playing games and many experiences in the virtual environment will be part of the programme of the fifth edition of Sofia Game Night.
Almost 80 events will take place in over 50 locations in nine cities - Sofia, Plovdiv, Varna, Ruse, Burgas, Sliven, Veliko Tarnovo, Vratsa and Pernik. Some locations will host 3-4 events per day, Velinova said.
A tournament for the visually impaired is organized in partnership with the Bulgarian Sports Federation for the Visually Impaired. Various film programmes are envisaged, many more than in previous editions of the festival, Velinova noted. She said many conferences are planned and for the first time the French Institute is also involved.
