site.btaDeputy PM Gabriel Pays Working Visit to Dublin for Global Ireland Summit, Meets PM Varadkar

Bulgarian Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Mariya Gabriel is on a working visit in Dublin for the Global Ireland Summit, she said on her social media. It also transpired there that she met with Prime Minister Leo Varadkar.

The two sides discussed bilateral relations, the priorities of the Bulgarian government, cooperation in innovation and transforming Bulgaria into a regional innovation hub. She thanked Varadkar for the support for Bulgaria's bid for entry in the OECD and the eurozone. The Middle East crisis was also discussed, Varadkar said on his social media.

Gabriel will be attending the Global Ireland Summit on the invitation of her Irish counterpart Micheál Martin. The agenda of the forum where Gabriel is among the speakers, is the future of Europe.

The top Bulgarian diplomat is also scheduled to meet with Paschal Donohoe, the Minister for Public Expenditure, and with Micheál Martin.
