site.btaGovernment Proposes Revisions to Chemical Weapons Ban Act
Bulgaria's Government on Wednesday approved a draft Act to Amend and Supplement the Act on the Prohibition of Chemical Weapons and on Control of Toxic Chemicals and the Precursors Thereof.
The amendments add two groups of toxic chemicals to the schedule of chemicals to the Convention on the Prohibition of the Development, Production, Stockpiling and Use of Chemical Weapons and on their Destruction.
Other revisions concern the setting up and keeping of a public register of the persons producing, acquiring, retaining or using Schedule 1 chemicals, chemical weapons and producing through synthesis of organic chemical substances under Articles 6, 7 and 8 of the Act, subject to the requirements of the Act Restricting Administrative Regulation and Administrative Control over Economic Activity.
