On this date in Bulgarian history:
1944: The People's Court is established under a Statutory Ordinance on Trial by a People's Court of the Culprits for the Embroilment of Bulgaria in the World War against the Allied Nations and for the Atrocities Related to the Said War.
1963: The Higher Institute of Chemical Technology in Bourgas (on the Black Sea) is established by a Council of Ministers Decree (named Prof. Dr Asen Zlatarov on September 23, 1967, endorsed as Prof. Dr Asen Zlatarov University on August 1, 1995).
1968: The Atlas TV show is launched on Bulgarian National Television. Over 2,000 episodes are aired and more than 400 original films created until the show's cancellation in 2013.
