site.btaPrime Minister Denkov Will Open 11th Alley of the Book

Prime Minister Nikolay Denov will open the 11th edition of the Alley of the Book in Sofia on September 4, the government information service said.

The Alley of the Book is organized by the Bulgarian Book Association within a literacy campaign with financial support of the National Culture Fund and is part of the cultural calendar of the Sofia Municipality for 2023.

Within the initiative 144 publishing houses will display tens of thousands of books in 58 tents along the central Vitosha Boulevard and in front of the NDK convention centre. The initiative aims to bring books closer to the people in order to encourage reading and interest in books, the Bulgarian Book Association said on its website.
