Protesters from Zashtita Trade Union demanded the resignation of Prime Minister Nikolay Denkov and the entire government. On their way to the Ministry of Health the protesters received an invitation for a meeting with experts in the Council of Ministers, but it did not take place. In the words of the chairman of the trade union Krasimir Mitov, they do not want a meeting "because we have seen what a mess these experts have made", so they are demanding the resignation not only of the Health Minister, but of the entire government.

The protest will continue until the demands are met. If this does not happen soon, the drivers "will throw away the keys to the ambulances," Mitov said.

Because of the protest, traffic is blocked in the area of the Council of Ministers. Protesters are chanting "Resign." They headed to the building of the Ministry of Health.

During the recent Industrial Council for Tripartite Cooperation in Healthcare a 22% increase in salaries for staff was agreed to in the emergency care centres. However, according to Mitov, this percentage does not correspond to what was promised at the meeting with Health Minister Hristo Hinkov.
