A 7.8 Richter photographic exhibition will showcase the rescuers and volunteers who helped after the earthquake in Turkiye. It will be opened on August 22 in the courtyard of the Cultural House Neftohimika (NHK), Burgas Municipality said Monday.

The exhibition will include 60 selected images from the personal archive of the cave rescuers who participated in the emergency rescue activities after the earthquake in Turkiye. The opening will be accompanied by a practical demonstration of rescue activities and a discussion on "Volunteerism and voluntary groups".

The organizers of the presentation are the National Association of Volunteers and the NGO with over 50 years of history "Cave Rescue Bulgaria". Their team was directed by the Turkish coordination centre to the city of Antakya, whose area was among the most seriously affected. "Over 70% of the building stock was destroyed, the death toll is over 46,000, and the injured are in the hundreds of thousands," organizers added.

The exhibition will be on display in the courtyard of the NHK Cultural House until September 3.
