site.bta8,478 PCR Tests Confirm 3,138 New COVID-19 Cases, Bringing Bulgaria's Total to 151,913

December 3 (BTA) - A total of 3,138 COVID-19 infections
were confirmed in past 24 hours through 8,478 PCR tests,
according to data posted on www.coronavirus.bg on Thursday. The
positivity rate is 37 per cent. The total number of tests done
since March is 990,785.

Out of a total of 151,913 confirmed cases of coronavirus, 92,360
 are active.

The largest number of new cases are in the capital Sofia (624),
followed by Plovdiv (327), Varna (266) and Bourgas (242).

A total of 6,635 patients are hospitalized, including 523 in
intensive care.

In the past 24 hours, 159 people died, bringing the total number
 of fatalities to 4,347.

Recoveries in the past 24 hours number 2,206, bringing the total
 to 55,206.
