site.bta5,986 PCR Tests Confirm 2,037 New COVID-19 Cases, Bringing Bulgaria's Total to 160,844

December 6 (BTA) - The number of confirmed COVID-19 cases
 in Bulgaria reached 160,844 after 5,986 PCR tests identified
2,037 new infections in the 24 hours until Saturday midnight,
according to data posted on www.coronavirus.bg on Sunday. The
test positivity rate now stands at 34.03 per cent.

The active cases are 95,442. Currently, the hospitalized
patients number 6,959, including 516 in intensive care.

Another 996 COVID-19 patients recovered over the last 24 hours,
bringing the total to 60,673.

Seventy-nine more fatalities were reported, and the death toll
now stands at 4,729.

On Saturday, the national coronavirus information portal
reported 3,614 new cases with a test positivity rate of  36.12
per cent, 2,536 recoveries, and 147 fatalities in the 24 hours
until Friday midnight.
