site.btaUPDATED Cabinet Appoints First Six Regional Governors
The Council of Ministers has appointed the first six regional governors since the start of its term, the press centre of the Council of Ministers said on Thursday. They will be in charge of Sofia city, Plovdiv, Lovech, Pleven, Dobrich and Silistra. The new state representatives in these regions were chosen by consensus between the two government-backing parliamentary groups, Prime Minister Nikolay Denkov said before the start of the government meeting. There is also agreement on the respective deputies who will be appointed to these staff.
