site.btaAthlete Stefka Kozhuharova Awarded with Medal for Bulgarian Ski Federation's Centenary
Legendary athlete and former member of the International Ski and Snowboard Federation Stefka Kozhuharova received a medal here on Tuesday for the 100th anniversary of the Bulgarian Ski Federation (BSF).
BSF Secretary General Pepa Mitseva presented Kozhuharova with the medal. Veteran sports journalist Asen Minchev gifted Kozhuharova the latest edition of the almanac, "100 Years of the Bulgarian Ski Federation."
Kozhuharova, currently visiting Sofia from her home in Italy, was accompanied by Petar Pankov, a three-time Winter Olympian in cross-country skiing and a two-time participant in the Vasaloppet marathon.
Kozhuharova, a legendary athlete and sports official, has served as a jury member at four Winter Olympic Games (1968, 1976, 1980, and 1984) and two World Championships (1974 and 1985).
