site.btaCOVID-19 Update: 1,046 New Cases, Test Positivity Rate at 18.2%

Sofia, January 1 (BTA) - There are 1,046 new coronavirus cases
in Bulgaria after 5,739 tests done in 24 hours, according to
data posted on the national coronavirus platform on Friday. The
test positivity rate is 18.2 per cent.

This brings the total number of cases to 202,266 since March.
The tests done so far total 1,155,283.

The active cases are 75,163. On Thursday, there were 4,756
patients being treated in hospital, including 464 in intensive
care.

The daily recoveries stand at 1,192, bringing the total to
119,527.

The daily death toll is 61, bringing the total to 7,576.

With 131 people vaccinated against COVID-19 on Thursday, the
total number of vaccines given to Bulgarians has reached 4,739.
