site.btaCOVID-19 Update: 171 New Cases, Test Positivity Rate at 6.4%

January 4 (BTA) - There were 171 new coronavirus cases in Bulgaria after 2,660 tests were done in 24 hours, according to data posted on the national coronavirus platform on Saturday. The test positivity rate is 6.4 per cent.

This brings the total number of cases to 203,051 since March. The tests done so far total 1,162,942.

The active cases are 72,962. On Sunday, there were 4,689 patients being treated in hospital, including 453 in intensive care.

The daily recoveries stand at 944, bringing the total to 122,411.

The daily death toll is 34, bringing the total to 7,678.
