site.btaBulgaria Registers 867 New Cases Over Past 24 Hours

Sofia, January 8 (BTA) - A total of 867 new cases of COVID-19
were confirmed in Bulgaria over the past 24 hours out of 9,911
 tests, for a positivity rate of 8.75 per cent, according to
coronavirus.bg on Friday morning.

The number of positive cases in Bulgaria reached 207,259 of whom
 69,051 are currently active.

A total of 4,250 people are in hospital, and 377 of them are in
intensive care.
   
The number of recoveries rose by 1,402 since yesterday, bringing
 the total to 130,191.

With 56 new fatalities over the past 24 hours, Bulgaria's death
toll to COVID-19 now stands at 8,017 people.
