site.btaCOVID-19 Update: 394 New Cases and 6.67% Rate of Positive Tests in Bulgaria in 24 Hours before Saturday Midnight

January 10 (BTA) - The number of confirmed COVID-19 cases in Bulgaria reached 208,406 after 5,910 tests identified 394 new infections in the 24 hours until Saturday midnight, according to data posted on the national coronavirus information portal, www.coronavirus.bg. This translates into a daily test positivity rate of 6.67 per cent.

A total of 1,220,910 tests have been performed since the first infections were diagnosed on March 8.

The active cases are 65,745. Currently, the hospitalized patients number 4,190, including 380 in intensive care.

Some 542 COVID-19 patients have recovered over the last 24 hours, bringing the total to 134,564.

Nineteen more fatalities were reported, bringing the death toll to 8,097.

Some 118 people were vaccinated in the last 24 hours, bringing the total to 13,473. RI/ZH
