COVID-19 Update: 750 New Cases and
Two-month Low in
Hospitalizations


Sofia, January 13 (BTA) - There were 750 new coronavirus cases in Bulgaria after 9,647 tests done in the 24 hours to midnight on Tuesday, according to data posted on the national coronavirus portal. It makes a test positivity rate of 7.7 per cent.

For the first time since November the number of people in hospital with coronavirus infection has fallen below 4,000. Currently 3,945 people are in hospital, with 367 in intensive care units.

There were 47 deaths and 2,706 recoveries.

Some 1,619 people were vaccinated, and a total of 15,780 people have received the first dose of the vaccine since the start of the vaccination campaign. LN/PP
