site.btaBulgaria Confirms 77 New Cases in Past 24 Hours

January 18 (BTA) - Over the past 24 hours there were 77 newly confirmed COVID-19 cases out of 1,194 tests, for a positivity rate of 6.44 per cent, the national coronavirus information portal informed on Monday morning.

Hospitals are treating 3,485 people, of whom 341 are in intensive care.

With 9 new fatalities, Bulgaria's death toll to the coronavirus stands at 8,483.

Since the start of the pandemic, there have been a total of 211,813 confirmed cases in Bulgaria, of whom 46,608 are currently active.

The number of recoveries rose by 396 since yesterday, reaching 156,722.

Since the start of the vaccination campaign in Bulgaria, a total of 18,453 people have been inoculated, with 121 vaccines administered since yesterday.
