site.btaCOVID-19 Update: 482 New Cases and Less than 6% Test Positivity Rate on Thursday

January 21 (BTA) - There are 482 new coronavirus cases in
 Bulgaria after 8,057 tests done in the 24 hours to Wednesday
midnight, according to the national coronavirus information
portal. It makes a test positivity rate of 5.9 per cent.

The new cases add up to a total of 213,409 since the start of
the pandemic in March 2020. The active cases stand at 29,660.

The daily update shows 37 deaths, putting the death toll of the
pandemic at 8,651.

A total of 3,220 people are in hospital, including 327 in
intensive care.

The recoveries stand at 4,600, adding up to 175,098 since the
start of the pandemic.

A total of 24,127 people have been vaccinated, including 1,901
in the last reporting period. LN/
