site.btaCOVID-19 Update: 1,212 New Cases, Test Positivity Rate at 9.16%

February 10 (BTA) - The number of confirmed COVID-19
cases in Bulgaria reached  226,061 after 13,228 tests identified
 1,212 new infections in 24 hours on Tuesday, according to data
posted on https://coronavirus.bg/ on Wednesday morning. The test
 positivity rate now stands at 9.16 per cent.

Sofia City Region tops the list of new cases with 313 positive
tests, followed by Plovdiv Region with 113 cases and Bourgas
Region with 105.

The active cases are 22,065. Currently, the hospitalized
patients number 3,129, including 266 in intensive care.

The infected medical staff have reached 9,735.

Another 459 COVID-19 patients have recovered over the last 24
hours, bringing the total to 194,514.

Sixty-two fatalities were reported, and the death toll now adds
up to 9,482.

With 3,540 new inoculations over the last 24 hours, 62,428
persons in aggregate have been vaccinated against the
coronavirus in Bulgaria, of whom 17,946 have received both
doses.
