February 10 (BTA) - Three international teams will organize online art workshops with the participation of the audience within the In the Artist's Shoes project. This is an opportunity for people to peek behind the curtain and observe some of the intimate artistic processes that otherwise remain closed to the audience, explained Albena Tagareva, producer and direction of the Art Office Foundation.

Before and during open door rehearsals, the artists will put the audience in the position of co-authors through interactive tasks that will serve in shaping the productions. Those interested can join free of charge by registering in advance before February 21. The results of each performance, as well as part of the preparation for it, will be presented on an online platform in Bulgarian and in English.

The production "Faust: Legal Proceedings for the Soul" combines puppet theatre and the art of illusion. Participating are Spanish artists Miguel Ponce de Leon and Oscar Isaac Fernandez and Bulgarian artists Dimiter Stefanov and Dimiter Zhivkov. The audience will be given the role of jurors in improvised legal proceedings and, after reviewing the evidence on the case, will have to decide whether Faust deserves his soul. The art workshops are scheduled for February 28, March 7 and March 14, and the premiere is on March 15.

The "Entropy of Words" is the work of actor and producer Stefan A. Shterev, graphic designer Teodora Simova and Dr. Vladimir Bozhilov, lecturer at Sofia University's Faculty of Physics. The art workshops will be held on February 27, March 1, and March 3, and the performance will premiere on March 11.

"Before the EndЕ (of the World)" is based on the idea of Iva Sveshtarova and Vili Prager in cooperation with Croatian playwright Ivana Ivkovic. The audience can take part in the online workshops on February 22 and 24 and March 8. The premiere on the online platform is scheduled for March 10.

The In the Artist's Shoes project is supported by the National Culture Fund and Sofia Municipality's Crisis as an Opportunity Programme, managed by the Sofia Development Association.
