February 11 (BTA) - The number of confirmed COVID-19 cases in Bulgaria reached 226,974 after 10,164 tests identified 913 new infections on Wednesday, according to data posted on https://coronavirus.bg/. The test positivity rate now stands at 8.98 per cent.

Sofia City Region tops the list of new cases with 260 positive tests, followed by Plovdiv Region with 94 cases and Pazardjik Region with 49 cases.

The active cases are 22,236. Currently, the hospitalized patients number 3,230, including 273 in intensive care.

The infected medical staff have reached 9,764.

Another 697 COVID-19 patients have recovered over the last 24 hours, bringing the total to 195,211.

Forty-five fatalities were reported, and the death toll now adds up to 9,527.

With 3,735 new inoculations over the last 24 hours, 66,163 persons in aggregate have been vaccinated against the coronavirus, of whom 18,612 have received both doses. RI/LG
