site.btaCOVID-19 Update: 1,068 New Cases, Test Positivity Rate at 9.6%

February 16 (BTA) - The number of confirmed COVID-19
cases in Bulgaria reached 230,747 after 11,091 tests identified
1,068 new infections on Monday, according to data posted on
https://coronavirus.bg/. The test positivity rate now stands at
9.6 per cent.

Sofia City tops the list of new cases with 298 positive tests,
followed by Plovdiv Region with 95 cases and Blagoevgrad Region
with 72.

The active cases are 23,500. Currently, the hospitalized
patients number 3,421, including 289 in intensive care.

The infected medical staff have reached 9,866.

Another 656 COVID-19 patients have recovered over the last 24
hours, bringing the total to 197,576.

Forty-seven fatalities were reported, and the death toll now
adds up to 9,671.

With 2,048 new inoculations over the last 24 hours, 77,436
persons in aggregate have been vaccinated against the
