A Turkish car driver tried to bribe policemen on Thursday night, the regional press centre of the Interior Ministry in Haskovo reported on Friday morning. At 0:25 am, car patrol from the administration in Svilengrad stopped a car driven by a 51-year-old driver.He was checked with a breathalyzer, which reported 0.64 ppm of alcohol. Then the driver left 790 Turkish liras on the front left seat of the police car in order to thwart a sanction. He was detained for up to 24 hours following the investigation, the police said.
