site.btaCOVID-19 Update: 1,086 New Cases, Test Positivity Rate at 9.94%

Sofia, February 19 (BTA) - The number of confirmed COVID-19
cases in Bulgaria reached 234,428 after 10,926 tests identified
1,086 new infections on Friday, according to data posted on
https://coronavirus.bg/. The test positivity rate now stands at
9.94 per cent.

Sofia Region tops the list of new cases with 335 positive tests,
 followed by Plovdiv with 93 cases and Pleven with 70.

The active cases are 25,010. Currently, the hospitalized
patients number 3,704, including 300 in intensive care.

The infected medical staff have reached 9,961, including 3,184
doctors and 3,279 nurses.

Another 744 COVID-19 patients have recovered over the last 24
hours, bringing the total to 199,632.

Forty-two fatalities were reported, and the death toll now adds
up to 9,786.

With 4,594 new inoculations over the last 24 hours, 90,514 doses
 in aggregate have been administered against the coronavirus.
