site.btaCOVID-19 Update: 2,588 New Cases, Test Positivity Rate at 15.99%

March 02 (BTA) - The number of confirmed COVID-19 cases in
Bulgaria reached 249,626 after 16,179 tests identified 2,588 new
 infections on Tuesday, according to data posted on
https://coronavirus.bg/. The test positivity rate now stands at
15.99 per cent.

Sofia City Region tops the list of new cases with 645 positive
tests, followed by Bourgas Region with 274 and Plovdiv Region
with 194.

The active cases are 32,688. Currently, the hospitalized
patients number 4,777, including 414 in intensive care.

The infected medical staff have reached 10,244.

Another 1085 COVID-19 patients have recovered over the last 24
hours, bringing the total to 206,630.

117 fatalities were reported, and the death toll now adds up to
10,308.

With 11,094 new inoculations over the last 24 hours, 223,539
persons in aggregate have been vaccinated against the
coronavirus, of whom 38,775 have received both doses.
