site.btaCOVID-19 Update: 2,198 New Cases, Test Positivity Rate at 18%

March 5 (BTA) - The number of confirmed COVID-19 cases in
 Bulgaria reached 255,381. after 12,167 tests identified 2,198
new infections on Thursday, according to data posted on
https://coronavirus.bg/ on Friday. The test positivity rate now
stands at 18 per cent per cent.

Sofia tops the list of new cases with 607 positive tests,
followed by Plovdiv with 183 cases and Varna with 142.

The active cases are 34,237. Currently, the hospitalized
patients number 5,307, including 440 in intensive care.

Another 1,638 COVID-19 patients have recovered over the last 24
hours, bringing the total to 210,638.

Ninety-eight new fatalities were reported, and the death toll
now adds up to 10,506.

With 20,376 new inoculations over the last 24 hours, 268,544
persons in aggregate have been vaccinated against the
