site.btaCOVID-19 Update: 2,995 New Cases, Test Positivity Rate at 17.6%

March 9 (BTA) - The number of confirmed COVID-19 cases in
 Bulgaria reached 263,303 after 17,056 tests identified 2,995
new infections on Monday, according to data posted on
https://coronavirus.bg/. The test positivity rate now stands at
17.6 per cent.

Sofia City tops the list of new cases with 802 positive tests,
followed by Plovdiv Region with 238 cases and Burgas Region with
 227 cases.

The active cases are 38,424. Currently, the hospitalized
patients number
5,903, including 503 in intensive care.

Another 1,228 COVID-19 patients have recovered over the last 24
hours, bringing the total to 214,115.

A hundred and fifty fatalities were reported, and the death toll
 now adds up to 10,764.

With 5,501 new inoculations over the last 24 hours, 294,132
persons in aggregate have been vaccinated against the
